This is a very big sports weekend for me.  I am covering the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament in Champaign, Illinois and will return to Lincoln to cover the last conference Boys Basketball home game of the season versus SHG.  

Some thoughts so far...I am really liking this Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens for sports photography.  I bought it mostly for portrait work, but that extra buttery bokeh and fast aperture simply translate well to action shots.  I had been using the 24-70mm f/2.8 exclusively, but the last few shoots I have gravitated to the 85mm and am liking the results.
